PROJECTS has a multi-disciplinary team made up of more than 80 qualified professionals with recognized knowledge and skills: civil, industrial and aeronautic engineers, architects and other technicians, assisted by experienced support staff in working procedures and reporting systems.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Graduate in Civil Engineering (UPC, 1979), specializing in transport, ports and urban planning, an MBA from ESADE Business School (1988) and PADE (Senior Management program) from IESE Business School (2008).

Began career in local government (Urban Planning and Transport at the Generalitat of Catalonia, 1980-86).

Had an important role in the urban renewal scheme prior to the Barcelona Olympic Games 1992 as Technical Director of Vila Olimpica, S.A. (1986-90) and Chief Executive Officer of the property company Nova Icaria, SA (1990-95), developer of the Barcelona Olympic Villa.

Was General Manager of Barcelona Metropolitan Transportation Authority, (1995-98) and General Manager of Muelles y Espacios Portuarios, S.A. (MEPSA), concessionaire for the port of Barcelona (1998-2007).

Member of the Board of Directors of ASINCA (Catalan Engineering and Architecture Association) and of the Infrastructures and Financing Commission of the College of Civil Engineers of Catalonia. Member of Cercle d’Economia.

Graduate in Civil Engineering from the UPC (Polytechnic University of Catalonia), specializing in transport (1987) and Master in Business Administration (MBA) from ESADE (1992).

Began career at engineering firms HIDROWATT (1985-87) and CAPLAN, Barcelona subsidiary of “CONTROL AND GEOLOGY, SA” (CYGSA), in the design and supervision of structural construction and lineal infrastructures, working for the Andorran Government in the Ministry of Public Service of Andorra, responsible for reviewing and monitoring projects in the Principality (1987-90).

Area Manager at TEC-4 (1990-91) and later Director of Northeast Zone and Portugal at INTRAESA (1992-99), both consultancy firms involved in civil engineering.

Joined the PROJECTS Group in 1999 as manager of GESCONRED. Has been in charge of, amongst others,  projects such as Project Management of the deployment of MENTA’s fiber optic network  (Auna, ONO) in Catalonia (as deputy director of construction and strategic planning at MENTA), Project Management of the development of the Volpelleres residential sector in Sant Cugat del Vallès, in charge of the capture and digitalization work of the Low Voltage Network in Catalonia for FECSA-ENDESA and SEVILLANA in Andalusia, and also general manager of the Joint Venture for the supervision of the work on Barcelona Metro L9, sections II and IV.

Member of the Governing Board, Treasurer and Chairman of the Committee on Water and Energy of the College of Civil Engineers of Catalonia (2006-2014).

Member of the “Consultancy Committee of The National College of Civil Engineers ” and on the Governing Board of the “FUNDACION CAMINOS of the College of Civil Engineering” (2006-2014).

Full Member of the Board of Trustees of ITEC (Institute of Construction Technology of Catalonia) (2006-2014).

Bachelor in Business Administration and Master in Company Management (CE) from ESADE (1980).

Joined the Directorate General of Health Planning Management of the Health and Social Security Department of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Regional Government) (1980), where she worked on health services planning until 1986.

Specialized in hospital management, she was Head of Management Control and General Deputy Manager, in the Red Cross Hospital in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (1986-94).

Contributed to the creation and development of the management company “Consorci Hospitalari de Catalunya, C. Gest, S.L.” as Director of Planning and Control. Support to management teams and participation in the preparation and implementation of hospital strategic, feasibility and business plans (1994-95).

Assistant manager at “Hospital del Sagrat Cor” and “Hospital de L’Aliança” in Barcelona (1995-96).

As a free-lance, management consultant and assistant at Hospital de Mataró, Maresme Health Trust, and other centers (1997-2004).

Since the founding of PROJECTS in 1999, she has been Administration and Finance Director.

Head of Real Estate Asset Management Building and Facility Management Business Unit.

Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, UPC (1994), specializing in industrial organization, Facility Management Master from Universitat Ramon Llull (2001) and PDG from IESE (2016).

His professional activities have long been tied to project management of building and infrastructure construction and operation.

The start of his career was closely connected with logistics, actively participating in the project to build the CIM Vallès Logistics Platform for the regional Government of Catalonia and in the process of implementing the automated processing of mail and parcels in Spain for Correos (Spanish Mail Service) (1991 – 97).

Responsible for the technical and commercial management of “Gestión Integral de Mantenimientos, Inc.” during the first years of operation of this firm dedicated to integrated infrastructure maintenance in various areas of activity, particularly industrial and hospitals (1997-2000).

Joined GESCONRED (Grup PROJECTS) in the year 2000, as Deputy Director to Project Management for the deployment of fibre optics throughout Catalonia.

Responsible, amongst others, for projects such as: the Project Management of the “Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau” of Barcelona, Integrated management of “Brians II” and “Puig de les Basses” Penitentiaries (Figueres), Facility Management of the City of Justice in Barcelona and Project Management of the Esther Koplowitz Research Centre in Barcelona.

Vice-president of the Catalan Facility Management Association (ACFM)

Civil Engineer at the UPC University, specializing in transport (2000) and postgraduate degrees in Private Infrastructure Management and Facility Management- Building Maintenance.

First professional stage at the Institute of Construction Technology of Catalonia (ITEC), monitoring project and construction activities for Barcelona’s remodeling for the Olympic Games event (1990-92).

Head of Check-in in the Department of Transportation at COOB 92, S.A.

Responsible of planning and budget monitoring of different projects in Taller d’Enginyeries (1992-95).

Responsible of the technical office for the execution, supervision and improvement of projects in the production department at AREMA, S.A. (1995-99).

Head of execution and structures responsible in several projects for Agrupació Guinovart – OSHA (1999-00).

Incorporated to the PROJECTS Group in the year 2000 as an adjunct to the person in charge of the Information, Programming and Operations Control Service in the municipal company Infraestructures del Llevant (currently BIMSA).

He has been responsible of different projects such as Project Manager, Project Manager or project editor, performing various specialized assistance for organizations such as TMB-Metro, Grupo Aguas (AGBAR-SUEZ), etc.

Since November 2010, organizes and starts up the PROJECTS activity in Chile, creating the company’s Branch in that country in April 2012 and of which he is General Manager.

Since February 2017 member of the Management Committee at PROJECTS Group. 

Civil engineer at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (2009), Erasmus at Imperial College London (2008), postgraduate in Private Infrastructure Management at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (2015) and MBA at ESADE (2017). Certified as Project Manager Professional (PMP®) by the Project Management Institute (2020).

First professional steps at AYESA, as a member of the Technical Office working on civil engineering projects (2008-09).

Joined up to the PROJECTS Group at the end of 2009, as head of the International Business Development, in charge of the international expansion of PROJECTS & FACILITIES MANAGEMENT, SL, mainly in LATAM and the Middle East, participating in the company’s branch creation and development in Chile and Peru.

In addition, he has been teamworking in different works as Project Manager, Construction Manager or project auditor, for Línia 9 Tram 2 Barcelona’s Metro, SANITAS, BCASA, IMHAB, IRIDIUM, DOSPUNTOS and CIRSA, among others.

Currently responsible for Corporate Development carrying out internal projects such as the development and improvement of work procedures or the implementation of the BIM methodology.

Since February 2017 member of the Management Committee at PROJECTS Group.

Architect by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, UPC (1998). Master in PM at Universitat Ramón Llull (2004) and certified as Project Manager Professional (PMP®) by the Project Management Institute (2012).

She began her professional stage (1998-2002) as a freelance, developing residential building projects.

Joined the PROJECTS Group in 2002, participating in projects such as the PM of the St. Pau Hospital, remodeling of the Miramar station of the Montjuïc cable car, the adaptation of the Serrahima Stadium for the European Athletics Championships 2010 or Bank Loan Project Monitoring of several promotions for Banc Sabadell.

Isabel has been, among others, responsible for several projects such as Construction Manager for the construction of the concessional works of Barcelona Metro Line 9, PM for One Parc Central office building in Barcelona (DosPuntos Asset Management, SL), PM of the new ICFO-W building in the UPC Campus of Castelldefels (Fundació Privada Mir-Puig), PM for the construction of terminal E and the extension of terminal D at Port of Barcelona (Cruise Terminal, SLU), PM during the design phase for the Johan Cruyff Stadium in Sant Joan Despí (FC Barcelona), PM of the College of Economists of Catalonia new headquarters or PM of a mixed-use building and parking spaces at Volpelleres West of Sant Cugat del Vallès area for PROMUSA.

Since January 2019 member of the Management Committee at PROJECTS Group.
