Vizcachas complex regulation tanks has been designed considering all necessary works that allow to gravitationally deflect the drinking water of Laguna Negra (Q = 4 m3 / s) and Paralelo aqueducts (Q = 5 m3/s) into the tanks, and later this water is restored to the same aqueducts, without need for pumping systems.

The work is designed in a single step, which considers a storage capacity of 160,000 m3 drinking water, based on six regulation tanks, four of 30,000 m3 and two of 20,000 m3. This project considers the works of water capture from aqueducts, transportation until the tanks, flow measurement, delivery to storage tanks, controled return to aqueducts and associated works to ensure the system is working correctly.

Total capacity tanks is 160,000 m3 (6 tanks), 4 with a capacity of 30,000 m3 and 2 of a capacity of 20,000 m3.
