Extension of WWTP La Llagosta

Site supervision and Health and Safety Coordination for the works contained in the project “Nutrient reduction and third secondary decanter at La Llagosta Wastewater Treatment Plant”.

The works consist of the extension of La Llagosta WWTP to eliminate nutrients. First, a new biological reactor and a new secondary decanter were built, and then the new elements were put into operation so that the existing biological reactor and decanter could be completely or partially stopped to be remodeled, with the aim of having a treatment with reduction of nutrients. Moreover, new installations were built and the existing installations were improved, adapted and updated.

Main magnitudes:

• Average design flow of 43,000 m3 / d.
• Nutrient water quality: Total <10mg / l and total phosphorus <1mg / l.
