New Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau

Construction of the central block of 95,000m² of the New Hospital de Sant Pau, the oldest medical institution in Spain and the second oldest in Europe. This block houses the majority of the care activity, ranging from examination rooms and outpatient clinics to day hospitals and operating theatres. The uses each floor is put to are as follows:

• Basement 2: Clinical record files, security, sterilization and main changing rooms.
• Basement 1: Surgical block, obstetrics and cardiology unit.
• Level 0: Admissions, day hospital for onco-hematology, pneumatology and infectious diseases, surgical day hospital, pain unit, endocrinology day hospital and diabetes centre, as well as a multidisciplinary day hospital.
• Plants 1, 2 and 3: Outpatients and examination units. There are a total of 117 modules of different sizes. Each floor has 6 waiting rooms.
